The Bell High School Book Club
The Book Club is a relatively new group. The organization was Founded, in 2001, by student Robert Zerbe. The group chooses a book, reads the book and meets again to discuss the work. They discuss theme, plot, characters and their own thoughts about the book. The group is sponsored by Mrs. Hudson.
The Bell High School Drama Club
The club is open to any student interested in acting and the theater. Meetings are held bi-weekly after school. During the meetings members are given opportunities to participate in individual and group performances. During the meetings, students learn acting techniques and prepare for performances. Rehearsals for performances can be very frequent and may conflict with some other activities.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a nationwide organization dedicated to the encouragement of both Christian and non-Christian athletes.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes provides fellowship, prayer and fun activities to help Christians build close relationships and grow in their knowledge of Christian living.
Mission Statement - To present athletes and coaches and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship.
HI-Q is a team-based, quiz bowl style competition. Two teams of four go head to head in three ten-minute sessions in which questions are asked to each team. A normal or toss-up question is asked to both teams. The teams then have five seconds for anyone on either team to buzz in and
answer the question. If answered correctly, the team is awarded a harder, bonus question that they are given fifteen seconds to answer as a group, without the other tam getting a chance to
answer. Every year, there is a district competition; the winning team then goes to regionals along with the team who has the best record of the season.
Players enjoy the intellectual stimulation of the matches, the friendships formed by the
competition (both within their school and of the other teams), and of course,
the free food that is offered at the end of each match.
