Ms.  Jamie Petersheim

Director

Ms. Petersheim has moved to Sunny Florida to take the
position as Trenton’s Band Director.  She is originally from
Reading, Pennsylvania, but is glad to give up that gloomy cold weather for hurricanes and sweltering weather ( just kidding I
do love it here, says Ms. P)

Ms. Petersheim graduated from Mansfield University with a
Bachelors Degree of Music, in Music Therapy.  She is
currently a board certified music therapist, however with all the teaching she does there is not longer time for her to practice
therapy.

Before moving to Florida, Ms. P worked with the award
winning Reading High School marching band, taking them to a 2nd place state championship and qualifying at the National
Fiesta Bowl in Arizona in 2001.  She also had a large music
studio where she taught many private lessons on violin and
clarinet.

Ms. Petersheim plays many instruments, as most directors
do, however she considers herself a professional clarinetist
who tries to play violin too.  She is currently a member of the
Gainesville community band where she plays clarinet.  She
has performed a clarinet solo and will even be conducting a
piece with the band.  She has also participated in many high
school drama productions in the community.

When looking for Ms. P outside of the band room, she is
usually with her dog, Fiddles (seen at right) and fiancé Mr.
Burg (also a teacher at Trenton).  She is currently making
preparations to become Mrs. Burg.  Although, It will be hard to get used to calling her Mrs. Burg instead of Ms. Petersheim,
everyone is excited about the wedding!
