Varsity Football Athletic Plan for Covid 19 pandemic
Due to the current pandemic, Trenton High School will adopt the following precautions and restrictions for the upcoming fall season:
Self-Screen before attending. If you feel ill, or otherwise have any symptoms of COVID-19 (including a temperature), please do not attend.
Wash your hands frequently and practice social distancing 
Family groups may sit together, but six foot distancing should exist between groups

Q: Is there a capacity at varsity football games for the 2020-21 season?
A: Yes, 800 spectators, excluding football players on the field, cheerleaders and band members 

Q: Will social distancing be required?
A: Yes, social distancing will be encouraged and recommended at all times. Family units are encouraged to sit together and socially distanced away from other families or spectators.

Q: Are ticket prices changing for the 2020-21 season?
A: Yes, ticket prices for all JV and Varsity football games will be $7.00 per ticket; 4 years old and younger are free.

Q: Can my child attend a football game if they are not accompanied by an adult?
A: All children under 13 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult

Q: Will visiting teams be given priority ticket sales?
A: Yes, up to 200 tickets to be sold at their home school.   All other visitor spectators will have to wait until Friday at the gate to see if there are general admission tickets left for sale.

Q: How will families of home team football players, cheerleaders and band members receive priority ticket sales?
A: Home team football players, cheerleaders, and band members’ families will be able to purchase up to 4 tickets each, per home game OR families may purchase up to four tickets per game in advance. 
6 home games (schedule is subject to change) x 4 tickets x $7.00 per ticket = $168.00 theses tickets will be non-refundable

Q: Where will I get tickets for varsity football games?
A: Tickets will be presold each week for home varsity football games. Tickets can be purchased on the following schedule: 
Monday & Tuesday – Presale priority tickets sold for home players, cheerleaders and band members’ families @ Trenton High School main entrance 9am-11am and 3-4pm; Ms. Wingate, Coach Whatley and Coach Wiles can have tickets available for their players and cheerleaders for sale Monday – Tuesday during practice. Parents may also send money with their child to purchase tickets during the school day.

Q: Will Trenton Quarterback Club passes be honored?
A: Yes, the members of the TQBC will be added to a list, tickets will be accounted for these members at each game.  Quarter back pass members who purchased special parking, will park in the paved lot in the front of THS campus between main office building and football field. 

Q: Will general admission tickets be available at the gate?
A: Possibly, but not guaranteed.  General admission tickets will be determined by Wednesday after all presale tickets are sold.  Once the capacity is reached at 800, no further tickets can be sold.

Q: Will the THS band travel with the team to away games?
A: No, unfortunately the band will not be able to travel with the team this season

Q:  What changes will be in affect this season?
A: The THS admin and coaching staff ask that all opponents and visitor spectators enter at the main THS gym entrance off 11th street, CR 307A.  Visiting team busses need to park in the bus loop. 

Q: What happens in the event of inclement weather?
A: Spectators need to keep their tickets in the event of bad weather.  Spectators need to exit the gates and sit in their vehicles if a bad storm rolls in.  If the game is resumed after the storm call, spectators must show their tickets for reentry.  Visiting teams’ players and cheerleaders will be able to sit out the storm in the old gym located close to the football field. All others will be asked to leave the field until the game resumes. 

Q: Will cheerleaders attend away football games? 
A: Yes, cheerleaders may ride home with parents. If riding home with an adult other than the legal parent or guardian. A notarized form must be completed and signed by Mrs. Langford, Principal, prior to game day.

Q: Will same season athletes get in free to athletic events? For example, THS volleyball players getting in free to THS football games.
A: No, unfortunately due to tracking of all spectators. All spectators need to be accounted in the total ticket sales.

Q: How do I purchase away tickets for athletic events?
A:  If the away team has a maximum capacity specified. THS will sell presale tickets Monday and Tuesday 9am-11am, 3pm-4pm or during the school day at the THS front office.  Ticket prices for away games vary. THS does not make any decisions with regard to away teams prices or guidelines for entry, COVID -19 rules, etc.  

Q: Where there be a designated student section?
A: Students will not be permitted to stand in the end zone, although we will have a designated student section. Social distancing 
Will be encouraged and recommended at all times.
