Instruction and Assignments for Students in Grades 6-12, beginning Monday, March 30th:
Students in grades 6-12 should login to Canvas to get their assignments. Teachers will post new weekly assignments each Monday morning. If you have any questions about an assignment or need help completing an assignment, please contact your teacher during his/her office hours posted in Canvas, by email, or by the mode of communication set up by your teacher. If you have questions or need help with anything, use the REACH Help Desk to find specific contact information for teachers, principals, guidance counselors, and tech staff at your school.
When you use this Canvas link, it will ask you to enter your Microsoft account name, which is your student email address - your web access name followed by @student.mygcsd.org (example: for student William Jefferson - email@example.com)
Once you enter your student email address and select "next", it will take you to the GCSD sign-in page where you will enter your Canvas password.
Your Canvas password is the last 6 digits of your 10-digit student number (found on your Skyward profile page) followed by your first initial (capitalized) and your last initial (lower case).
Example: William Jefferson – student# 2100019362 William’s Canvas Password would be: 019362Wj
If you have problems with your Canvas username and password, please contact one of your teachers or your principal for assistance.
If you are currently enrolled in a virtual course (MyDistrict Virtual School, FLVS, EdOptions Academy), keep working.
