Tri-M will be hosting auditions for the annual Gilchrist Got Talent, talent show April 22 from 3:30-5pm in the THS auditorium. There is an entry fee of $10 for solos and $15 for groups. The money is due at the time of auditions. The show will be hosted on April 25 at 6PM in the auditorium and there will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places!
There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in trying out for football or cheerleading next year on Monday April 15, at 2:45. The football meeting will be in the weight room and the cheer meeting will be in the old gym.

10-12th grade: The ASVAB will be given on Wednesday, November 28th. The ASVAB is a career exploration and planning test that includes a multiple-aptitude test battery, an interest inventory, and various career planning tools designed to help you explore the world of work. It will help you to identify occupations to investigate and purse based on your own interests, values, skills, and use career information resources to further explore these occupations. Trenton FFA has been in contact with an FFA Chapter in the Panhandle. Many of their students lost their homes in Hurricane Michael. They are starting back to school on November 13th and need school supplies, personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. We will be collecting these items this coming week at the ag Department. Please bring items if you are able to donate!
For the month of November the JR Beta Club is collecting toiletries for the storm victims. The deadline is November 30th. There will be a donation box in the front office.

Girls Basketball tryouts will be on Monday October 29th and Tuesday October 30th. Any girls trying out must have a complete physical packet filled out prior to tryouts. Tryouts will begin right after school and will meet in the new gym. They will be from 3:30-5:30 on Monday and Tuesday and the team will be posted on Wednesday in the front office. You must have the appropriate shoes and apparel to tryout and if you miss a day of tryouts you will not make the team. If you have any questions contact Coach Frye.

Attention Gilchrist County Sheriffs Explorers Post 269. Explorers will meet at 10am on Saturday, May 19th at the Gilchrist County Rodeo Arena located at 4050 South US Hwy 129, Bell. Explorers will assist with the parking detail at the benefit concert to celebrate the lives of Deputy Taylor Lindsey and Sergeant Noel Ramirez. The assignment will be complete at 5pm. Deputy Holder will provide GCSO Explorers t-shirts to those in attendance. Work attire will be black boots, jeans and Explorers t-shirt. Trenton Middle School FFA has been chosen as a Florida Premier FFA Chapter by the Florida FFA Association. The Premier Chapter Award was initiated to recognize superior achievement by chapters in Agricultural Education and the FFA. To be eligible for this award, a chapter must be proficient in several areas, which include Alumni and Community Partnerships, Financial Planning, and Public Relations, along with Recruitment and other FFA activities. Congrats Trenton FFA on this accomplishment!
Awards Day for 6-12th grade will be May 16th. High School will be at 11am, 6th grade at 12:15, 7th grade at 1:15, and 8th grade at 2:15.
Due to inclement weather, the softball state semifinal game has been moved to Monday May 21st. The championship game will be Tuesday May 22nd.
There will be a cheer and basketball banquet in the cafeteria at 6 on Monday, May 14.
Parents: if your child has medication in the THS health room it will need to be picked up by 1pm on Friday May 25th or it will be disposed of.
Attention any 9-11 grade student with a GCSD laptop: The technology department will be collecting laptops on Monday, May 14th. Please make sure that all contents of your laptop including the case and the charger are returned to building 15. If you have anything saved on your computer that you would like to keep make sure you save it to a secondary device before turning in your laptop. Listen to the announcements for the collection time for each grade.

Attention Gilchrist County Sheriffs Explorers: You are invited to attend Relay For Life on Friday, May 4th at the Trenton Train Depot and participate in the "Jail or Bail" event sponsored by the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office. The Driver’s Ed Sign-Up Sheet has now been posted in guidance. Driver’s Ed course will be offered at Trenton High School during the summer. Get the details and sign-up in guidance on the big board. The deadline to sign-up is May 9th at 3:15pm.
Yearbook distribution will begin Thursday May 10th at 11 with the senior class. Sidewalk signing for seniors will be held immediately following distribution. If you have ordered a yearbook and are not a senior, distribution will be held after high school lunch.
