BHS Engineering Recognized by Board

The BHS Engineering Academy was recognized at today's Board meeting for high level critical thinking on a rigorous engineering project.  Program Instructor Mr. Don Barselou and a team of program students shared with the Board a custom robot that they researched, designed, engineered, and fabricated to solve the real-world problem of cleaning the gym floors after games.  Traditionally, this task is completed through manual labor, but this team of students were able to create a robotic solution.  Commercial robots like this may cost around $8000, but these students were able to create this product for approximately $485.
