New Student Registration Process

You will need an e-mail address to register. If you do not have one, you can get a free account via Google, Yahoo, etc.
Step 1 - Enter Parent/Guardian information to register for an account. Skip to Step 3 if you complete registration using your Skyward Family Access login.
Step 2 - Check your email for your username, password and the URL (website) to complete the registration. The email will come from skyward@mygcsd.org with the subject line "Complete Student Enrollment."
Step 3- After you submit the online enrollment application, please call the school to setup an appointment to complete registration. Please review the required documents below and bring them to your appointment.

Verification of Legal Name and Age*
a. Birth Certificate (school will make a photocopy)
Verification of Residence
a. See below for documentation requirements to verify residency.
Verification of Immunizations:
a. MUST be on Florida Immunization Form 680
b. All out-of-state immunizations MUST be transferred to Form 680
c. Exemptions MUST be reported using Florida Department of Health forms
Verification of Physical Examination:
a. MUST be within 12 months of 1st day of school enrollment in a Florida public school
b. MUST be signed AND dated by a physician
Legal Documentation: If you are not the legal guardian or residential custodial parent of a student OR there is a court decision regarding release of information related to custody/restraining orders, etc., state law REQUIRES that one of the following documents be provided for enrollment:
a. Court Custody Documentation stating specifications
b. Foster Family Placement Letter
c. Educational Guardianship - notarized documents verifying parent/legal guardian of student is incarcerated
d. Supervisory Affidavit
Academic History (if available, provide any or all of the following):
a. Last (most recent) report card
b. Transcript
c. Withdrawal form
d. Special Education information (EP/IEP/504/etc)
Gilchrist County School District requires detailed proof of residency provided by a parent/guardian or adult student. All documents must be current, valid, and include the residential address used for enrollment. Follow the requirements below that best describes your residency situation.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are committing residency fraud if they submit an address during the enrollment process that is not their true residence.
The school staff may examine the Property Appraiser’s website to determine the parent’s homestead (permanent residence) location. The homestead address of the parent will be used as a factor to determine the student’s zoned school. A conflicting address indicates that further investigation is required.
In all cases the Superintendent or designee reserves the right to conduct an investigation and to make the final determination as to the residence of a student.

Zoned School
During the online enrollment process, you will be prompted to select the school your child will attend. You must select the school your child is zoned for.
