Gilchrist County School District's Instructional Personnel Evaluation System addresses the requirements of Section 1012.34, Florida Statutes (F.S.), and Rule 6A-5.030, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). The primary purpose of the Instructional Personnel Evaluation System is to provide a framework for constructive feedback for teachers to support the implementation of effective, evidenced-based instructional practices. Additionally, this evaluation system assists in recognizing strengths and pinpointing areas for focused professional learning opportunities, thus facilitating professional growth, the delivery of standards-based classroom instruction, and fostering positive student outcomes.
The purpose of the district's school administrator evaluation system is to ensure effective leadership and continuous improvement in school performance by systematically assessing the performance of principals and assistant principals. This system aims to promote accountability, professional growth, and the achievement of educational goals. Based on Florida’s Educational Leadership Standards, the evaluation process involves setting clear performance goals, and includes regular observations, and feedback sessions. The ultimate objective is to enhance leadership quality, support professional development, and ensure that administrators are effectively leading their schools toward academic excellence and a positive educational environment.
