On Friday, 12/14/18, Mrs. Barbara Lindsey's AP Environmental Science class was honored to have Mr. Joe MacKenzie come and speak to the students. Mr. MacKenzie is the Gilchrist County and Levy County Forester for the Florida Forest Service.
Mr. MacKenzie discussed forests, forest fires, trees and products made from trees. The students were able to see tree growth rings, discuss the tree survival in a forest and the great variety of products that we use every day that come from trees.
