HEALTH ACADEMY

The health care industry is one of the fastest-growing occupational areas in North Central Florida. The Health Academy features exciting programs designed to prepare students for employment and post-secondary education in health-related careers.

The program includes integrated classroom instruction, laboratory practice, clinicals, and shadowing experiences in selected health care settings. The Health Academy is available to all Gilchrist County students entering 9th grade. THS students who enroll in the Health Academy at BHS will be transported for free via shuttle bus.

Participating students must complete a four year program of study including career and academic components. All academy students are required to complete a career exit point and participate in patient care/clinical requirements in 12th grade.

Health Academy programs include those listed here.
