The Tiger Baseball team is going to state! Congratulations to the Baseball team on their win over Chiefland last night 10-0. The Tigers will play in the state semifinal game on Friday, May 25th, in Ft. Myers. Go Tigers!


The Florida Gateway College Board of Trustees handed out four scholarships on Tuesday to students at THS. Congrats to Whitney Foote, Morgan Matheny, Tyler Toal, and Ruby Browning.

Attention Gilchrist County Sheriffs Explorers Post 269. Explorers will meet at 10am on Saturday, May 19th at the Gilchrist County Rodeo Arena located at 4050 South US Hwy 129, Bell. Explorers will assist with the parking detail at the benefit concert to celebrate the lives of Deputy Taylor Lindsey and Sergeant Noel Ramirez. The assignment will be complete at 5pm. Deputy Holder will provide GCSO Explorers t-shirts to those in attendance. Work attire will be black boots, jeans and Explorers t-shirt. Trenton Middle School FFA has been chosen as a Florida Premier FFA Chapter by the Florida FFA Association. The Premier Chapter Award was initiated to recognize superior achievement by chapters in
Agricultural Education and the FFA. To be eligible for this award, a chapter must be proficient in several areas, which include Alumni and Community Partnerships, Financial Planning, and Public Relations, along with Recruitment and other FFA activities. Congrats Trenton FFA on this accomplishment!

Awards Day for 6-12th grade will be May 16th. High School will be at 11am, 6th grade at 12:15, 7th grade at 1:15, and 8th grade at 2:15.

Due to inclement weather, the softball state semifinal game has been moved to Monday May 21st. The championship game will be Tuesday May 22nd.

There will be a cheer and basketball banquet in the cafeteria at 6 on Monday, May 14.

Parents: if your child has medication in the THS health room it will need to be picked up by 1pm on Friday May 25th or it will be disposed of.

Attention any 9-11 grade student with a GCSD laptop: The technology department will be collecting laptops on Monday, May 14th. Please make sure that all contents of your laptop including the case and the charger are returned to building 15. If you have anything saved on your computer that you would like to keep make sure you save it to a secondary device before turning in your laptop. Listen to the announcements for the collection time for each grade.

Yearbooks can now be picked up in the library. If you ordered a book and have not yet picked it up stop by the library today. They can also still be ordered for $55. They will be available until the end of the school year or until we run out.

Congrats to the Tiger Baseball team on their 11-1 win over Frostproof on Wednesday night. They will play Chiefland on Tuesday at 7 in the Regional Final game. Go Tigers!
