Bell High School is once again humbled by the show of generosity by our students and staff for their donations to our Thanksgiving basket drive! Enough funds and food items were donated to assemble 24 Thanksgiving baskets for some of our families! Thank you to the students and parents who donated, to Scaff's for donating 8 of the turkeys, and to our student ambassadors for helping to assemble the baskets. We hope that everyone takes some time over the Thanksgiving holidays to count your blessings and be grateful for all you have to be thankful for, and that everyone has a safe and blessed Thanksgiving holiday!

The Bell FFA Shin-Dig has a new date and new place, but the same goal - raising funds for our phenomenal students and agriscience program. The FFA Shin-Dig has been rescheduled to this Thursday, November 19th at the Bell Elementary Cafeteria, auction entry begins at 6:00 PM, dinner at 6:30 PM, and the auction begins at 7:00 PM. There are still three ways that you can support the local agriscience program:
~Join us at the event to bid on a handmade item made from students or supports. We have a great range of handmade wood working projects (tables, shelves, an American flag, decor, picnic table, etc.), metal projects, and an array of desserts.
~Pledge a donation to either Mr. Brett Wasden or Mrs. Debbie Jones to help bid on student projects.
~Donate a handmade item to the auction.
This year's fundraising efforts are unique, the Bell FFA Alumni and Supporters have pledged to donate 100% of the proceeds to upgrading the livestock facilities. Please consider supporting our efforts to make Bell FFA a distinguished program in science, technology, and leadership development. We hope to see you there!

BHS 6th Graders will be sending Christmas cards to some our military stationed overseas as well as some that are confined to the VA Hospital in Gainesville. We are accepting donations of unused Christmas cards to use for this purpose. Thank you in advance!

We are halfway through the second 9 weeks! Progress reports will be sent home with students today.

The annual Shin-Dig Fundraiser scheduled for Thursday, 11/12 is POSTPONED due to severe weather conditions and school-closure. Our booster club officers are working diligently to reschedule- more information to come.

The Gilchrist County School District has been in contact with the Gilchrist Emergency Management team. Due to the potential for tropical storm force winds and unsafe travel conditions, Gilchrist County will cancel school for Thursday, November, 12. At this time, we do plan to be open on Friday, Nov. 13. However, if anything changes, we will let you know. Everyone stay safe!

BHS Students and their examples of ways to show kindness to others~
Landin: You can give people gifts and tell them how good they look and give them a hug or help them.
Ivan: You can help someone get on Classlink.
Destiny: Be kind to people.
Kaleb: You can help someone with their homework; you can hold the door for someone, or help someone get on a computer.
Wyatt: It’s kind for someone to say hi.
Destiny: You can show kindness by helping others , you can share (but use hand-sanitizer), you can be helpful by staying 6 ft apart.
Chyanne: You can show kindness by carrying something for them and helping them with homework.
Alyssa: I would help people with kindness by helping people who need the help- if someone needs help with a word or a phrase, help them spell or sound it out with the word or phrase, that is how I would help people with kindness.
Emily: You could help someone by showing them around the school or you could also show them how to get on Classlink.
Dixie: If someone needed help with something they didn't know how to do help them with it, show them how to do or if they never been somewhere on campus show them. Help the teachers with paper work or run errands for the teachers. Say hi to someone.
