The Purple Powerhouse Marching Band had their district Solo and Ensemble on Friday, 2/14 at Buchholtz. Our Students were amazing with 45 superior ratings!!! We had 18 students qualify for State solo and ensemble!!!




Mr. Collins 7th grade science students created a wave tank this week with a bare shore, sea wall, and living shoreline to see how much flooding occurs in each case. The living shoreline was oyster reef, mangroves, clam shells, and sea grass with different combinations.








Students in Ms Carnley’s class work with a partner to solve mixed quadrilaterals this week.





Some of our awesome BHS students attended the Night to Shine event at Pine Grove Baptist Church in early February and had an amazing time!


We were privileged to have the Honorable Donna M. Keim, Circuit Court Judge for the 8th Judicial Circuit, come and speak to our Middle School Civics students about her role in the judicial branch. These experiences are an awesome way to help students connect the lessons they are learning in the classroom with how things happen in the real world.


Congratulations to Kennedy Smith on fourth place in state in Olympic weightlifting and 3rd in traditional. Kennedy made the podium twice! We are so proud of her! 🙌🏅

Students in Mrs. Hunter's Spanish class played Quiz, Quiz, Trade today. This cooperative learning technique has students reviewing information with other students by asking and answering questions.

Saturday, 2/15 is National School Resource Officer Day, so our Interact students and High School Student Ambassadors decided to honor our amazing SRO, Deputy Earl Davidson! We are thankful for all he does to keep Bell High School safe!


Parents/Students: Just a reminder that Thursday, 2/13 and Friday, 2/14 are Teacher Workdays with no school for students. Also, Monday, 2/17 is President's Day, and schools will be closed that day as well. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday!



Last week was National School Counseling Week, which is devoted to focusing public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. BHS is thankful for our School Counselors, Lilian Weeks (High School) and Xina Leggett (Middle School). We appreciate all that they do!
